From the Copenhagen Post:

The Western High Court in Århus today upheld the guilty sentence of a man and woman sentenced to prison for keeping two teenage Slovakian girls in their house as sex [...]

From News24.com
Uganda will pass a law banning female genital mutilation, which is rampant among pastoralist tribes in the country’s eastern region, the president said in a statement on Friday.
“The way God made it, there is no part of a human body that is useless,” President Yoweri Museveni told a gathering in the eastern Karamoja district.
“Now [...]

…what’s the matter with our justice system when two young men get 1½ year in jail each for a shooting in the streets, where no one was hurt (thankfully), and two parents get one year each for having abused their daughter consistently over the course of four years with beatings, broken bones, hard labour and [...]

WordPress has this lovely feature called tag surfer. I’ve found some wonderful blogs that way, and sometimes I find some less fantastic ones. A few days ago I found yet another post by an angry white male, who absolutely denies any white male anger to ever have existed. He’s not angry. Nope. Never. No, he [...]

A while back I wrote about the state of sentencing in abuse-cases here in Denmark.
Overall, our track record is not impressive. The couple who each got sentenced to 5 months for violently abusing the woman’s daughter during a period of (at least) 4 years, they appealed their case – as did the DA. Now both [...]

Yesterday I was talking to two co-workers in the lunch room. We discussed the tragedy in Winnenden, and the fact that all victims except one had been female. I pointed out that the majority of victims being women or girls was actually a fact for the majority of school shootings during the past several decades. [...]

I’m a regular reader over at Heartless Bitches International. They have many good articles up, many good rants. I especially like the Rants and the Auntie Dote sections. Everything posted on the site has been through admin approval. But there is one section where small disgusting things slip through the cracks. It’s in the Pukefest. [...]

That’s one of today’s headline. Well, actually, the headline goes: Abortion journal leaked.
A young woman was at Skejby hospital in January to have an abortion. Abortion is free and legal here in DK, so there’s nothing wrong with that. However, it seems she had not informed her boyfriend of this, as is her right, but [...]

Yesterday a story emerged that three women had been attacked in the Copenhagen Train Station in January. Police officers had apprehended four of the culprits, but had afterwards let them go without taking names nor other identification info. The three women, who had been beaten up, had a report from the emergency room about their [...]

This ad makes me cry every time.
The text says: “How obvious must human trafficking be, before we do something. Help now at hopenow.dk”
And that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
